Duties and Responsibilities of Elected Officials

For all positions, attendance at quarterly meetings is required.

 

Duties of the President

The President shall preside at all quarterly meetings and serve as Chairperson of the Board of Directors. The President shall preside over activities of the Association, present a report at the Annual Meeting, appoint members of committees and their chairperson as those committees are authorized by the Board of Directors and such other committees as the President shall deem appropriate to meet the objectives of the Association, and perform such other duties as are inherent in the office of President, including authorizing the expenditure of sums of one thousand dollars or less, or such other duties as authorized by the Board of Directors.

 

Duties of the Vice President

The Vice President shall chair such committees as appointed by the President. He/She shall, in the absence of the President, perform all duties and assume all responsibilities of the President.

 

Duties of the Secretary

The Secretary shall be the Historian of the Association, shall keep the minutes of the meetings of the Association, the Board of Directors, and any committee of the Board, and perform all other duties inherent to the office of Secretary.

 

Duties of the Treasurer

The Treasurer shall supervise all the financial affairs of the Association. He/She shall cause a complete record to be kept of the receipts and disbursements and shall make regular reports to the Board of Directors and an Annual Report to the Association.
